LONGS, SC — A 56‑year‑old man was found shot to death inside his Freemont Road home this week, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office.
Charles Williams Jr. was discovered just after 8:00 p.m. on September 14. Officials said he had been shot multiple times and had likely been deceased for about 24 hours before his body was located.
Investigators have not released details about when Williams was last seen alive, whether anyone else was at the residence during the period they are reviewing, or whether a suspect or motive has been identified.
The Horry County Police Department continues to investigate.
