SUPPLY, NC — Court proceedings are moving forward in the case involving the death of Stephen Russell Bradshaw, 41, who was found at a residence on Fawnbrook Lane in Supply on August 26.
Zackary Aaron Craddock, 22, was arrested by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office and charged with murder in connection with Bradshaw’s death. Our initial coverage reported his arrest and the Sheriff’s Office’s statement that there was no ongoing threat to the community. Craddock made his first court appearance on August 27, where he was appointed counsel.
Family members confirmed that Bradshaw and Craddock were related.
Under North Carolina law, murder is a Class A felony punishable by death or life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
Craddock is being held without bond. A probable cause hearing has been scheduled for September 3. Court officials have not released additional details regarding the circumstances of the alleged offense, and the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office has not provided further narrative information.
All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
