LELAND, NC — A routine traffic stop in Leland led to a concealed‑weapon charge for a Lumberton man early last week.
Officers with the Leland Police Department encountered Riley Furr, 20, during a stop on August 11, 2026. During the investigation, police determined Furr was carrying a concealed gun, a misdemeanor offense under North Carolina law.
Furr was taken into custody, processed, and booked at the Brunswick County Detention Center before being released later the same day.
All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
